On arrival training
In the opinion of the
most experts, the On arrival training is
always very impressive for the new volunteers. Probably, many people
has already decided to write a few words about this event but I also
would like to share my thoughts.
We had three incredibles
trainers/formers who were highly prepared for any kind of question or
situation. But, why do we need so much this training? For me,
firstly, it was a good training because we meet other current
volunteers, we get to know a bit their personality, their activities/
project, but it was also good think about our rights and duties or
getting to know the organizations that can help us if we have
problems during our stay. Of course, there are different types of
problems and this training also helps us to be able to distinguish
them and to know what could be the appropiate solution. Also, it is
very important that we get to know better our personality, abilities,
knowledge and aims. As this event brought 18 volunteers (17 in
Galicia, 1 in Santander) into contact with each other, our
possibilities increased in the blink of an eye. Now, we have a kind
of relation between all of us that slowly can include more
volunteers. For now we already have some initiatives for hosting
people and visiting other cities or towns.
I think that this week
was incredible and unforgettable for every participants and it was
really helpful for being able to open our mind to our surroundings,
to the people or the minor things.
Altogether: It was
amazing
One activity in
particular
The last activity was to
go out of the hotel and to complete some challenges. Some of them
were quite difficult and funny at the same time like, for example,
trying to change a pen for a Mercedes. Obviously it is something
impossible but the most important thing was to communicate with the
people and to negociate a little bit. Also we had to make a
promotional video about the EVS wich had some very good results. In
the followings I will share some videos and photos (as soon as I get them) just to see how
productive can be the On arrival training.
