Alex - the new star in Vite

The socio-cultural center "Vite" is located in the district "Vite" of Santiago de Compostela and offers a wide range of facilities. In addition to that, there are activities for kids, teenagers and the elderly as well as a variety of workshops. 

The facilities:

The center has a big "banquet hall" with 250 seats in which expositions and workshop take place. Moreover, there is a library which offers 35 places for studying, wifi, magazines, daily press and (of course, it's a library in the first place!) lending of books. 

In addition to that, there is a computer room where computer courses take place. However, if the room is free, the public use of the terminals is possible. 

Another important part of the center is the play-room for kids which presents a fantastic opportunity for them to find new friends, discover various games and, of course, have fun! :-)

Alex's work:
Alex, our voluntary of Macedonia, works in the play-room and in the library. He is busy preparing workshops, playing with the children of the center and also helps them to do their homework. His personal project is about developing a movie-workshop in which the teenagers will receive acting-tips. And if there is a lot of participation, maybe we will be able to see a movie at the end, in which we can see the fruits of Alex's labour! :-)

My best / funniest experience until now has been that  ... the kids only know my country as “Macedonia de frutas” (which is a fruit salad in Spain)
